German Knowledge Network for Transport and Logistics delegation.

On the morning of August 25, 2022, Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) hosted and collaborated with a German delegation from the Asian – German Knowledge Network for Transport and Logistics (AGKN) to discuss partnership strategies. BVU and AGKN would work together in the future on Logistics and Supply chain management.

On the side of AGKN, there was the participation of Prof. Dirk Sackmann – Vice President of AGKN; Prof. Dr. Irina Dovbischuk – Director of AGKN and Dr. Panichakarn – AGKN member.

On the behalf of BVU, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Tien Hoang – Vice Rector of the University; Dr. Mai Xuan Thieu – Dean of Faculty of Marine Economics – Logsitcs; MSc. Do Thanh Phong – Deputy Head of Department of Logistics and Supply chain management and MSc. Dinh Thu Phuong – Deputy Head of Logistics and Supply chain management.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged action plans in the coming time, including the following main contents:

  • Invite AGKN to co-organize an international conference on logistics.
  • Suggest AGKN to invite leading logistics experts in the world to participate in teaching a number of modules in the training program, presenting some contents on Logistics and Supply Chain Management at BVU.
  • Suggest AGKN to work with prestigious logistics training institutions in the world to deploy international training programs on Logistics and Supply Chain Management; exchange of lecturers and students with BVU.

Following the meeting, an AGKN official committed to assist Ba Ria – Vung Tau University in establishing programs to connect students, train them, and enhance instructors’ professional abilities. AGKN is very delighted to participate in BVU’s international conference on Logistics and Supply Chain Management, which will be place in May 2023. At the same time, AGKN provides several chances for BVU instructors in Logistics and Supply Chain Management to engage in AGKN research projects.
