Real Estate (RE) is a relatively new field of study in Vietnam, offering promising prospects with high employment opportunities and attractive salaries. However, the current workforce can only meet 30-40% of the demand. Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) is one of the institutions providing university-level education in this domain, and its Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, also holds the position of Vice Chairwoman of VNREEA (Vietnam Real Estate Economics Association).
On August 12th, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Real Estate Association (VNREA) organized the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Real Estate Education Association (VNREEA) for the term 2023 – 2027 and inaugurated the Human Resources Forum for Vietnam’s Real Estate sector for the years 2023 – 2024.
Over the past decade, the real estate business has become an appealing profession, attracting a significant labor force in society. However, according to statistics from the Vietnam Real Estate Association (VNREA), there are currently only 20 educational institutions nationwide providing university-level education in real estate. This falls short of meeting the immense demand, with the industry able to fulfill only about 30-40% of the need for real estate personnel.
Recognizing the potentials and challenges, with a desire to outline actionable directions and timely solutions, and to establish connections between businesses and educational institutions, the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Real Estate Education Association (VNREEA) for the term 2023 – 2027 has elected 9 members to the Executive Committee of VNREEA for the term I 2023 – 2028 to directly lead the association’s activities. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, the Rector of Ba Ria – Vung Tau University, is honored to hold the position of Vice Chairwoman of VNREEA.
The congress is a significant event that marks the establishment of a social organization dedicated to the education and development of human resources in the Vietnamese real estate industry. Also at the congress, BVU established connections and synergy between the university and businesses. This forms the basis for BVU’s commitment to ensuring the quality of education, experiences, internships, and employment opportunities for its students.
