On the afternoon of March 26, 2023, Ba Ria – Vung Tau University held the Closing Ceremony and awarded the BVU Student Sports Festival to commemorate the 92nd founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at the Sports Gymnasium of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2023). This year’s sports festival includes two competitions: men’s and women’s mixed football, as well as tug of war.
Attending the opening ceremony, on BVU’s side, there were Assoc.Prof., Dr., Lawyer Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong – BVU’s Rector, M.Sc. Le Van Toan – Vice Rector; M.Sc. Nguyen Ngoc Tai – Secretary of the Youth Union; Mr. Nguyen Van Thuc – President of the Student Union; lecturers, students from faculties with the Referee Team and more than 100 athletes participating in the competition teams.
On the side of the companion unit, there were Mr. Doan Manh Cuong – Director of Marina Dental Clinic, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Linh – Representative of AROMA Center Convention Center.
M.Sc Le Van Toan, Vice Rector of the University, stated during the Closing Ceremony, “This year’s sports festival, the teams demonstrated the spirit of Solidarity – Nobility – Advancement through each match, leaving a lot of emotions for the spectators.” This is the outcome of the winning individuals and teams’ extensive preparation and practice. The University will create additional playgrounds for you in the near future, not only at the faculty and school level, but also through participating in regional and national student contests, as a result of this Sports Festival, which discovered many bright and dedicated students in sports.”

Teams participating in the Sports Festival received many compliments and encouragements from lecturers, referees and spectators. This is also a chance for students to demonstrate their competitive abilities, as well as to provide desire for study and exercise.
The closing ceremony and awarding took place in a vibrant and professional setting, with the winning teams being honored and receiving prizes. This is a significant activity to commemorate the formation of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and it contributes to promoting and enhancing BVU students’ compassion and team spirit.
