BVU ATTAINEDS INTERNATIONAL QS 4-STAR RATING AND ACHIEVES THE INSTITUTIONAL ACCREDITATION STANDARD
On January 9, 2023, Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (School Code: BVU) officially announced 2023 admission information. Accordingly, BVU targets 3000 students with 62 majors and specializations of national standard curriculum and 03 majors of gifted education curriculum. These are majors of industries that have great demand for human resources in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, the southern economic region, and the whole country.
I. PRIVILEGE FOR BVU NEW STUDENTS IN 2023
- BVU patronizes 100% of graduates to get a job right away;
- BVU patronizes paid internships and corporate semester;
- BVU assists registration for a 10 billion VND scholarship package from enterprises;
- BVU considers giving 2,000 scholarships (2-5 million VND/ each) for new students who submit their application for academic records before 31/03/2023 and enroll in the first batch.
- Offering 10 million VND scholarship for all new students of 03 Gifted Undergraduate curriculum’s majors;
- BVU assists a bank loan to pay tuition fees with 0% interest
- BVU presents a combo of T-shirts and backpacks to all new students and 10 laptops worth 150 million VND (drawn).

Remarks for National Standard programs:
Pharmacology: 150 credits, 5-year training, receiving the degree of Pharmacist; Nursing: 130 credits, 4-year training, receiving Bachelor’s degree. All other fields require 120 credits and 3.5 years of instruction to obtain a Bachelor’s degree. The following training disciplines are not included in the total number of credits: 8 credits of National Defense – Security Education, 3 credits of Physical Education, and 21 credits of Output Criteria (foreign languages, information technology, other skills).
*: After completing the Undergraduate program, students in these fields can apply for an extra 30 credits to get an Engineering degree.

Remarks for Gifted Undergraduate program
Duration: 3.5 years; 140 credits excluding 8 credits of National Defense – Security Education, 3 credits of Physical Education, and 21 credits of Output Criteria (foreign languages, information technology, other skills).
Priority for new students of Gifted Undergraduate program:
- Gifted Scholarship of 10 million VND for the first year; ability to receive a scholarship equal to 100% of the tuition fee based on academic performance in subsequent years.
- Participation in international student exchange programs, company tour programs, and paid business semester.
- 100% job assistance after graduation.
- Transfer and exemption from 25% of the BVU Master’s program.
- Potential to participate in international transfer program at universities in many countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Japan, Korea, which are BVU’s partners.
- Students with international foreign language certifications have the option of learning another foreign language or requesting foreign language courses reduction in the training program.
Tuition fee for Gifted Undergraduate program
- The tuition fee for a semester is determined by the amount of credits registered for that semester (only for semester 1, the school arranges and pre-sets the number of courses and total credits for students).
- Tuition for the first-year ranges between 1,200,000 and 1,400,000 VND/credit. From the second year forward, the tuition fee can be increased by no more than 8% over the previous academic year’s amount spent on the credit.

Rector of BVU attended the Training Implementation Ceremony of the Certificate in International Financial Reporting (CertIFR) granting to BVU students

IV. ADMISSION METHODS
BVU open enrollment for candidates nationwide who have graduated from high schools or equivalent education
֍ Admission based on high school transcripts
(For both National Standard program and Gifted Undergraduate program)
- Methods: Candidates can select one of the two options listed below:
⁕ Choose 03 subjects based on the chosen combination that result in the highest overall score of 02 out of 04 semesters of grade 11 and grade 12 (must have at least 1 semester of grade 12).
⁕ Choose the highest-grade point average of 03 out of 04 semesters of grade 11 and grade 12 (at least one semester of grade 12) with the greatest total score.
- Admission score (with regional and priority points added):All Majors >= 18 (exclude Health Science majors).Pharmacology >=24 and Grade 12 with excellent academic achievement or a high school graduation score >= 8,0.Nursing >= 19,5 and Grade 12 with good academic performance or higher or a high school graduation exam score >= 6,5.The Bachelor of Gifted program has an admission score of 22 or higher.

֍ Admission based on high school graduation exam results
(For both National Standard program and Gifted Undergraduate program):
- Method: Candidates select the combination of subjects with the best total score of three subjects on the high school graduation exam.
- Admission score (with regional and priority points added): Candidates whose graduation exam results in three subjects according to the selection combination are at least equivalent to the minimum score required for universities or institutions to use as a basis for admission. Particularly for the Pharmacology and Nursing majors, the admission score must be based on the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- The phases of application: According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The Gifted Undergraduate program has an admission score of at least 20.
V. ADMISSION SCHOLARSHIPS
- Valedictorian scholarship for the entire course: 01 slot (34-48 million VND depending on major) for the new student with the highest high school graduation exam score based on the selection combination.
- Outstanding Achievement Scholarship: 10 slots (5-10 million VND/slot) for new students who achieved national prizes in various fields; and 10 slots (from 3-5 million VND/slot) for new students who achieved provincial prizes in various subjects.
- Enterprise scholarship & valedictorian scholarship (every major): 2,000 scholarships ranging from 2 to 5 million VND/slot for applicants who submit their academic records by March 31, 2023, and enroll in the first batch; scholarships (10 million VND/slot) for all new students of three Gifted Bachelor majors.
VI. TUITION
⁕ The tuition fee for a semester is determined by the amount of credits registered for that semester (only for the first semester, BVU arranges and pre-sets the number of courses and total credits for students).
⁕ Tuition for the first year is 810.000 VND/credit for Liberal Arts courses and 900.000 VND/credit for Major courses (Pharmacology is 1.380.000 VND/credit and Nursing is 1.120.000 VND/credit). From the second year forward, the tuition fee can be increased by no more than 8% over the previous academic year’s unit price of the credit.
BVU signed MOUs with enterprises to provide scholarships and assist prospects for students.
