In the morning of January 12, 2023, after 05 days of urgent, sincere, responsible, and productive effort, Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) in coordination with the Saigon Education Accreditation Center (CEA SAIGON) hosted the Closing Ceremony of the official survey to accredit BVU’s 06 training programs based on the Ministry of Education and Training’s training program-level quality evaluation requirements.
This batch’s official assessment programs include Information Technology, Oriental Studies, Accounting, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, English Studies, and Business Administration. On the side of the external assessor to conduct the official assessment, there were Dr. Nguyen Kim Dung, Director of the Saigon Center for Education Accreditation – Head of the delegation, and members, namely Assoc. Prof., Dr., Do Hanh Nga, Dr. Nguyen Van Hai, Dr. Tran Cong Nghiep, Dr. Nguyen Duy Mong Ha, Dr. Tran Xuan Thai, MSc Ha Thi Phuong Minh, MSc Cai Quang Kien, MSc Le Nhu Dzi – Secretary, and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu – Supervision and Support – at the Closing Ceremony. The assessment started from January 8, 2023, through January 12, 2023.
On the side of Ba Ria – Vung Tau University, there were Assoc. Prof., Dr., Lawyer. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong – the Rector; Administrators; Heads of Departments; Self-Assessment Council members; and relevant lecturers and employees.
Dr. Nguyen Kim Dung, Head of the External Assessment Team, acknowledged and praised the preparedness and cooperation of Ba Ria-Vung Tau University for the official assessment during the closing ceremony. The delegation members presented preliminary assessment results. The report provided a summary of the process of carrying out the Delegation’s mandate, detailed the foundations, principles, and standards in the assessment process, emphasized the strengths, and gave suggestions for the University to advance a quality improvement plan in the future.

At the Closing Ceremony, Assoc. Prof., Dr., Lawyer. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, Rector of the University, expressed gratitude to the external assessment team and the Saigon Center for Education Accreditation for providing the university with valuable and crucial information in making management decisions and improving the University’s activities. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, Assoc. Prof., Dr., Lawyer, affirmed that assessing and accrediting educational quality opened opportunities for universities in general, and Ba Ria – Vung Tau University in particular, to recognize their advantages and disadvantages, as well as identify problems that need to be addressed. BVU integrated and formulated a comprehensive action plan based on the assessment team’s suggestions, including management, training, scientific research, international cooperation, community service, and other activities. Faculties whose training programs were being reviewed this time have agreed to continue to improve and modify in response to the external assessment team’s advice.

The Head of the External Assessment Team, the Deputy Director of the Saigon Center for Education Accreditation, and the Rector of Ba Ria – Vung Tau University signed the Minutes of Completing the Official Quality Assessment of 06 Training Programs at the University Level of BVU at the conclusion of the official assessment.
