Overview of the Enterprise Semester Ceremony – Faculty of Management and Law, Cohort 2023

Enterprise Semester: Beyond Internship—A Journey of Commitment

At Ba Ria – Vung Tau University, the philosophy of “learning through practice” is not merely a slogan. It is brought to life through the Enterprise Semester—a distinctive, challenging, yet proud hallmark of BVU.

Instead of traditional classroom learning, students of the 2023 cohort will spend three full months living, working, and contributing within leading enterprises. Here, they are no longer just learners, but active members of the workforce, taking responsibility and creating value for their organisations.

In his opening remarks, Mr Trinh Dinh Cuong, MA, Acting Deputy Head of the Faculty of Management and Law, shared:
“The world outside does not operate by lecture notes. It runs on discipline, pressure, and opportunities reserved for those who are ready. Today, we hand you over to our partner enterprises—but we are also entrusting them with our greatest hopes. Do not fear making mistakes; fear not having the courage to begin.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Ba Hoang, President of the University, also delivered a keynote address, offering guidance and congratulations to the students, while expressing sincere appreciation to partner organisations for their ongoing support in enhancing training quality and providing valuable practical opportunities.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Ba Hoang delivered a speech at the ceremony, expressing appreciation to partner enterprises, congratulating the students, and providing strategic direction.

Strategic Partnerships Elevating BVU Graduates

A key highlight of the ceremony was the presence of senior leaders from numerous enterprises, banks, and prestigious law firms. The signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) on stage demonstrated strong confidence from the labour market in the quality of BVU’s training.

From leading financial institutions to reputable law firms, all have come together to create a solid “launchpad” for students. The list of partner organisations signing cooperation agreements includes:

  • The Coast Co., Ltd. (The Coast Hotel)
  • Vikki Digital Bank – Vung Tau Branch
  • New Key Law Firm Co., Ltd.
  • VN72 Law Firm Co., Ltd.
  • Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB) – Vung Tau Branch

Scholarships: Inspiring Dreams

A particularly emotional moment came when representatives from Vikki Digital Bank awarded scholarships worth VND 30 million to outstanding and resilient students. This was not only financial support but also recognition of their perseverance and dedication, reflecting the strong commitment of enterprises in nurturing future talent.

BVU students received scholarships presented by Mr Dao Hoang Phuong and Ms An Khanh Ly, representatives of Vikki Digital Bank – Vung Tau Branch.

Mr Dao Hoang Phuong, Branch Director of Vikki Digital Bank Vung Tau, shared his expectations:
“We look for sharp minds, the ability to apply technology, and above all, a progressive attitude. BVU students have a great advantage in their dynamism and adaptability. I hope that after three months, many of you will become our colleagues.”

This model provides a highly practical approach—placing students in full-time professional environments before graduation, helping them overcome workplace culture shock and bridging the gap between education and employment.

Student Nguyen Hai Hieu Hanh posed a question during the interactive session with the speakers.

Student Nguyen Hai Hieu Hanh, a scholarship recipient from the Accounting programme, shared:
“Receiving this scholarship is a wonderful surprise. It is not only financial support but also encouragement and recognition of my efforts. It motivates me to continue improving and developing myself. Meeting industry leaders directly has helped me better understand workplace expectations. I believe the next three months will be a transformative journey for every student.”

Talkshow: Lessons Beyond the Classroom

The panel discussion on “Enterprise Semester and Career Opportunities” created an open and dynamic dialogue, breaking down barriers between employers and future employees.

Judges, lawyers, and business leaders candidly shared their early failures, professional challenges, and the soft skills that often determine success.

**The Enterprise Semester is not merely an assessed academic module by the University and its industry partners; it is a journey of commitment and growth—where BVU students confidently assert themselves and prepare to take on the future.**

Mr Nguyen Van Hoa, Director of B.A.C Accounting Services Co., Ltd., encouraged students to ask questions, embrace mistakes, remain humble, observe, and continuously learn—emphasising that “attitude matters more than aptitude.”

Students who posed insightful questions to recruiters received valuable gifts sponsored by Fubon Life Insurance Vietnam – Vung Tau Branch.

All challenging questions from students were answered with real-life experiences, helping them gain clearer direction. The exchange fostered a strong sense of connection between generations, with experienced professionals guiding students as they take their first steps into the working world.

Representatives of partner enterprises received students from the Faculty of Management and Law.

The ceremony concluded with the formal handover. Groups of students stepped onto the stage alongside representatives of their host organisations. The sight of young BVU students in their signature yellow shirts standing beside accomplished professionals symbolised a meaningful generational transition.

Wishing K23 students of the Faculty of Management and Law a truly meaningful journey—break through, excel, and shine!

The Enterprise Semester 2026 has officially begun. For the 2023 cohort of the Faculty of Management and Law, this is not the end of learning, but the beginning of growth. They are not alone—behind them stands the unwavering support of their lecturers, and ahead lies a wide horizon of opportunities from welcoming enterprises.

Welcome to the real world. Step forward, experience, and define your identity as a BVU student: Dynamic – Professional – Resilient.
