Ba Ria – Vung Tau University to appoint 02 new department heads

On April 7, Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) held a ceremony to announce the decision to appoint heads of departments. Accordingly, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, Rector of the University, issued 03 decisions to appoint the Head of the Faculty of Tourism and Health; the Deputy Head of the Faculty of Economics – Law and to reappoint the Director of the Experience and Employment Center for Students.

BVU’s Board of Rectors presented the decisions and congratulatory flowers to the 2 new department heads and the Director of the Experience and Employment Center for Students.

Specifically, Pham Ngoc Hai, member of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Provincial People’s Council, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Club, Chairman of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Tourism Association, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nam A Investment Joint Stock Company is appointed as the Head of the Department of Tourism and Health; M.B.A. Trinh Dinh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association, Director of Rong Viet Service-Finance-Tax Accounting Ltd company is appointed as the Deputy Head of the Faculty of Economics – Law, and M.B.A Nguyen Ly Xuan Minh is appointed as the Director of the Student Experience and Employment Center.

With the mission to be a university providing an application-oriented education, BVU has developed and innovated its training programs to closely connect and bond its training activities with enterprises as well as focus on student experiencing activities. The appointments of these two department heads, who are both experienced and respected businessmen, and the new director of the Student Experience and Employment Center, demonstrate the university’s commitment to providing high-quality education and improving students’ outcomes.

At the appointment ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, Rector of the University expressed her expectations that the new heads and director, with their enthusiasm, prestige, and experience, will work with the university’s staff and faculty to bring a new breath of fresh air to BVU’s students and to help the university continue to grow and develop.

In response, the new appointees expressed their gratitude for the university’s trust and their determination to work closely with their team members and coordinate with relevant departments to successfully fulfill their professional duties promoting the university’s development.
