Gen Z Students from the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures Are Ready to Begin Their “Workplace Journey”

Enterprises Take Part in Evaluating Student Quality

More than 30 enterprises attended the ceremony to receive interns. The most valuable highlight of the event was the panel discussion with leading industry experts. Students had the opportunity to hear firsthand, practical insights from enterprise representatives who are directly involved in recruitment and human resource management.

Ms. Vo Quoc Khanh – BVU alumna and Education Manager at Minh Khue Consulting and Education Co., Ltd. – brought practical perspectives for students majoring in Oriental Studies: “Enterprises do not simply need a living dictionary; we need people who know how to use language to connect cultures and solve problems.”

Ms. Tran Thi Huong – Director of Ha Linh Social Support Center – shared about career opportunities for Psychology students: “Working in psychology means working with people… and it is precisely those moments of uncertainty when facing clients that will teach you empathy in ways no textbook can fully express.”

Ms. Ngo Tran Thuy Phuong (Human Resources Department – Oman Vietnam Kitchen Company) provided a realistic picture of workforce demand in multinational corporations, where language serves as a bridge to promising management positions.

Ms. Le Thi Hoai Xuan (Director – AMA Foreign Language Center) inspired students with insights into the flexibility of English in the digital era and the professional opportunities it opens up in teaching and educational management.

The direct involvement of enterprises in receiving and evaluating interns not only helps students understand where they currently stand, but also affirms BVU’s goal of “linking education with enterprises to meet the needs of society.”

At the ceremony, the commitment shown by partner enterprises helped dispel concerns that the internship would consist merely of routine tasks. In particular, the exchange session between students and the five guest speakers was highly engaging and dynamic. Students raised many questions about the realities of the working environment and received thoughtful and dedicated responses.

Minh Anh, a student from the 2023 cohort, shared: “I used to feel a lot of pressure, but after today’s event, I understand that an internship is a chance to ‘make mistakes and learn from them.’ I am not afraid of making mistakes if it means being guided and supported, and I hope to grow more mature after three months of internship under the guidance of seniors and lecturers.”

The moment when representatives of the enterprises formally received the students carried great symbolic meaning. The 40 outstanding student representatives present at today’s handover ceremony all shared one determination: to get on board and shine. In appreciation of this valuable partnership, the Faculty leadership solemnly presented flowers and letters of thanks to each partner enterprise.
