King Sejong Institute for Korean Language and Culture will be established in 2022 at Ba Ria – Vung Tau University.
On November 4, 2021, Ba Ria-Vung Tau University had an online meeting with BaekSeok University (Korea). The results of the meeting opened up many cooperation opportunities for both sides. Leaders of the two universities agreed to sign the MOU in the fields: student exchange, lecturers exchange; Cultural Exchange; international training cooperation focusing on the Tourism-Health industry, and especially the establishment of King Sejong Institute of Korean Language and Culture at Ba Ria-Vung Tau University.
BaekSeok University (Korea)
King Sejong Institute of Korean Language and Culture – Ba Ria-Vung Tau University is a reciprocal cooperation project between Ba Ria-Vung Tau University and BaekSeok University (Korea) funded by King Sejong Institute Fund. , which is funded by the Korean government for the purpose of teaching Korean language and promoting Korean culture to the community, is expected to be established in 2022.
With the sponsorship of King Sejong Academy Fund, Korean Government, King Sejong Institute of Korean Language and Culture at Ba Ria-Vung Tau University has 100% of the teaching staff from BaekSeok University (Korea) and training programs are provided by King Sejong Institute of Korean Language and Culture system, thus, providing learners with a methodical academic environment and low tuition fees. The Institute has the mission of teaching and cultural exchange, as a place to connect Vietnamese – Korean cultural exchanges in Vung Tau City and neighboring provinces. That contributes to the success of Ba Ria-Vung Tau University in its role as an international cooperation gateway in the Southeast region.
Currently, the need and potential for international cooperation with Korea in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province in particular and the whole country in general is great, so the establishment of King Sejong Institute of Korean Language and Culture in Ba Ria-Vung Tau University is a valuable opportunity for the University to improve the quality of Korean language training among students and the community.
