After more than two months of launching, on the evening of June 17, 2023, at the Aroma Center Conference Center in Vung Tau, the “BVU’s Got Talent 2023” competition of Ba Ria – Vung Tau University came to a close with a grand, impressive, and unforgettable finale, featuring a total prize valued 59,000,000 VND.
Before the start of the performance night, the four major judges of this season also made their appearance. They are all experienced individuals in the field of arts, bringing different perspectives to each performance and ensuring fairness throughout the competition.
After nearly 2 months of competition, with intense rounds, the judging panel had to put in a lot of effort to select the most impressive contestants, and finally, 12 teams successfully secured their spots in the grand finale. Each contestant showcased their shining talent, evoking various emotions and bringing many exciting surprises to the audience. Regardless of the genre, every performance was diligently rehearsed and meticulously crafted by the contestants, with a great emphasis on the quality of content and performance attire. This created an artistic and professional atmosphere that attracted enthusiastic support from everyone involved.
The grand finale of “BVU’s Got Talent 2023” couldn’t have been any more electrifying with the enthusiastic support of the attending students, families of the contestants, and everyone present at the Aroma Center Conference Center. The fervor of the audience uplifted the spirits of the contestants, leading to breathtaking performances. In addition, the organizers of this year’s competition made investments and meticulous preparations, ensuring seamless and complete execution of the performances, from sound to lighting, providing the most favorable conditions for all acts.
It can be said that the judging panel of the competition faced tremendous difficulty in scoring as the performances were almost equal in talent and skill. There were powerful and emotionally charged vocal performances, dynamic and decisive modern dance moves, and soul-stirring sounds of the saxophone, among others. Each act brought its own unique strengths and captivated the audience in different ways. The judges had a challenging task in evaluating such diverse and exceptional talents.
However, with confidence and an incredibly outstanding performance, the act “I Have Nothing” performed by contestant Vu Duc Huong surpassed the remaining 12 contestants and triumphantly claimed the title of BVU’s Got Talent 2023 champion. Contestant Vu Duc Huong took complete control of the stage, captivating even the most discerning audience members and impressing the judging panel with his powerful, soulful vocals. He truly deserved the championship title, as he shone brilliantly, giving his all after days of dedicated rehearsals and practice.
The act “Huyen thoai me” performed by contestant Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh secured the Runner-up position, while the Talent awards were given to two acts: “Me toi” performed by Bui Thi My Dung and “Mua vo thuat” performed by Vovinam Club. The promising awards went to the following acts: “Rap” – Vu Tien Dung, “Lon roi con khoc nho” – Nguyen Ngoc Thanh & Nguyen Binh Tan, “Mua hao khi Viet Nam” – Vu Thi Nhuan, “Con co” – Nguyen Nguyen Toan, “Dong” – Nguyen Tran Sinh Huy, “Shape of You” – Huynh Thi Truc Lam, “Solo Quien Sera” – Nguyen Hoang Duong, and “Mua Hello Viet Nam & mau do da vang” – BVU Stage Club.
The prize structure for BVU’s Got Talent 2023 is as follows, with a total prize value of 59,000,000 VND:
1st Prize: 15,000,000 VND.
2nd Prize: 10,000,000 VND.
2 Talent awards: 5,000,000 VND each.
8 Promising awards: 3,000,000 VND each.
Over two seasons, the “BVU’s Got Talent” competition has gradually developed and become more refreshing each year. The competition has been and continues to be a platform for showcasing the talents of multiple generations of BVU students, with the aim of helping them unleash their individual potential, overcome their own fears, and shine on stage.
