On the morning of 4 July 2026, Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) held a ceremony to announce the appointments of its new management personnel. This represents a strategic move to optimise the university’s operational framework, paving the way for a phase of breakthrough development and international integration.
Innovating for Excellence
The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Ba Hoang, the University President, along with heads of faculties, institutes, departments, and centres, as well as all newly appointed staff members.
During the event, Mr Tran Phan Linh (MSc), authorised by the President, announced the appointment decisions. This marks the fourth round of management appointments for the 2025-2026 academic year at BVU.
Following the announcement, Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Ba Hoang presented the official decisions and flowers to the new appointees. The restructuring of functional units and the consolidation of the leadership team reaffirm BVU’s core values: “Innovation – Creativity – Efficiency” in both operation and management.
In his keynote address, Assoc. Prof. Dr Nguyen Ba Hoang emphasised:
“Each officer appointed today is a vital piece of the puzzle, carrying our expectations for a flexible governance system that is ready to meet modern higher education standards.”
New Faces, New Missions
In this round of appointments, the University has entrusted key responsibilities to the following dedicated professionals:
- Mr Nguyen Quang Thái (MSc): Deputy Director of the Student Experience and Corporate Relations Centre.
- Mr Tran Ba Thuan (MSc): Deputy Director of the Marketing and Admissions Centre.
- Ms Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy: Head of the Data and Customer Care Department, Marketing and Admissions Centre.
The appointment of personnel to spearhead units such as Marketing & Admissions and Student Experience & Corporate Relations demonstrates BVU’s primary focus on enhancing service quality and strengthening ties with the business community.
Immediately following the ceremony, the Board of Rectors and the management team convened for the April 2026 Monthly Briefing. The meeting reviewed completed projects and outlined key activities for the upcoming period, aiming towards the goal of building a modern, student-centred BVU.
With a consolidated leadership team, BVU confidently moves forward on its journey of knowledge creation, continuously expanding its reach and asserting its position on the regional educational map.
