① Ba Ria – Vung Tau University celebrated a solemn ceremony to announce the appointment of the Rector, as well as a ceremony to award scholarships and establish partnerships with enterprises.
In the morning of September 7, 2022, at the Pullman Vung Tau Hotel, Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) hosted a solemn ceremony to announce the appointment of Assoc.Prof., Dr., Lawyer. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong as BVU’s Rector. Several firms and organizations funded more than 1.6 billion VND in scholarships for BVU students on this occasion, while also signing MOUs with BVU in training programs to receive interns, corporate semester, and BVU student recruitment after graduation.
② Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) welcomed Mr. Graham Stuart MP – UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Vietnam and the delegation of the Consul General of the United Kingdom to visit and witness the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understandings between BVU, Pearson, and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA).
On April 8th, 2022, at the Hall of Campus 1, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) between Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) and Pearson, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA) took place with the objective of improving the training quality for BVU students.
③ The Rector of Ba Ria – Vung Tau University together with the delegation of Minister of Education and Training attended the Global Summit on Educational Transformation in New York, USA
The summit, which drew 200 nations and territories, was chaired over by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres. During the trip, the Rector of BVU and the Ministry of Education and Training met and worked with the American Association for Accreditation of Education; visited and worked with Arizona State University, Columbia University, and the US Agency for International Development; attended the Vietnam-US educational cooperation forum; and met with leaders of Microsoft Corporation, American Testing Institute (EST), and Intel Corporation.
④ Ba Ria – Vung Tau University: Doctorate of Business Administration program – BVU – Ba Ria-Vung Tau University.
On January 25, 2022, the Minister of Education and Training issued Decision No.357/QD-BGDĐT permitting Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) to provide Doctorate of Business Administration program (Code: 9340101). This is one of the crucial milestones that marks the growth and outstanding development of training capacity and quality, affirms the prestige and position of the University.
⑤ For the first time, Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) held the Matriculation Ceremony for the academic year 2022-2023 in Ho May Park.
On the afternoon of November 6, 2022, at Ho May Tourist Resort (Vung Tau City), Ba Ria-Vung Tau University (BVU) held a Matriculation Ceremony for the 2022-2023 academic year, attended by over 2,000 students, employees, and lecturers. This is the first time BVU has held the Matriculation Ceremony on a large scale in a completely distinct venue, which has fascinated the interest of both students and employees.
⑥ Ba Ria – Vung Tau University organized a national conference on “Needs and solutions for developing high-quality human resources in Vietnam’s seaports and logistics,” and signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with Vietnam’s premier research institutes and logistics firms
During the seminar, BVU signed MOUs with the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI), the Global Logistics Management Institute (GLI), Tan Cang Human Resources Development Co., Ltd (STC), and Thi Vai General Port Joint Stock Company. The seminar serves as a foundation for BVU to prosper in the future in terms of both the quality and quantity of industries and specialties in the field of Logistics and Seaports.
⑦ Ba Ria – Vung Tau University hosted the National Conference “Accounting and Finance – Banking in the Digital Economy” and signed MOUs with several banks, organizations, and significant corporations
The National Conference “Accounting and Finance – Banking in the Digital Economy” was held on June 11, 2022, in the Campus 1 Hall at Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU). This is a forum for experts, managers, and scientists to examine the existing scenario of the accounting and finance-banking fields, including potential, difficulties, and requirements, as well as proposals and solutions. The seminar focused on current major topics: the importance of digital transformation in business management, accounting – finance, banking; management of start-up firms in the digital economy; and legal regulations in the digital economy.
Presenters from the fields of Finance – Banking, Accounting, and Law, as well as representatives from 12 organizations and firms that signed MOUs with BVU, attended the seminar.
⑧ International universities and corporations visited Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) to offer scholarships, recruit students, and share information about international collaboration
In the morning of March 23, 2022, the delegation of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province led by Mr. Wu Chao Hung – President of the Chamber of Commerce, representing approximately 30 Taiwanese firms visited and worked with Ba Ria – Vung Tau University. At the end of the meeting, the two parties decided to organize a recruiting and scholarship awarding day for students at Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) in April 2022, with roughly 30 Taiwanese firms participating.
⑨ Outstanding BVU students achieved awards in the National Student Science and Technology Awards
The contest was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in partnership with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations. BVU students’ projects received two prizes in the final round.
⑩ BVU student won a gold medal in the national tournament of Vovinam strong teams
Sam Thuy Boi Nhu, an Accounting student, won the Gold Medal in the 8th National Strong Team Volinam Tournament in 2022. BVU students have consistently earned high awards in Vovinam contests for students, strong teams countrywide and in Southeast Asia./.
