This is a short-term course in the international cooperation program between Ba Ria - Vung Tau University and Kyoai Gakuen University. This is the second time a group of Kyoai Gakuen students have been studying at BVU. Prior to this, in 2017, a group of eight Kyoai Gakuen students were also sent to BVU and attended the two-week exchange program. In return, Kyoai Gakuen University will receive two BVU exchange students studying at Kyoai Gakuen for one year.
During 2-week study program in Vung Tau, Japanese students have participated in interesting study programs on culture and customs of Vietnam such as learning basic Vietnamese language, general introduction of Vietnamese culture and landscapes, the friendship between Vietnam and Japan, introduction and practice of cooking traditional Vietnamese cuisines. In addition, Japanese students also have chance to participate in cultural exchange activities such as music, Japanese origami teaching paper with Japanese club Sauya and BVU's students.
Besides the classes in the class, the students also have practical study visiting famous sights of Vung Tau City (Kito Statue, Lighthouse, White Palace ...) and Ho Chi Minh City (Independence Palace, War Remnants Museum, Ben Thanh Market, Ajinomoto Company ...), take a chocolate practice class, observe the chocolate production process at the production base in Vung Tau High-tech Agriculture Limited Company and working with representatives of Japan Desk in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. In addition, Japanese students also have the opportunity to experience life in Vietnam by going shopping themselves and enjoying Vietnamese food during their stay in Vung Tau City.
These exciting exchanges have contributed to the solidarity between students of both universities, creating good opportunities for Japanese language students to practice Japanese with native speakers, open relationship with Japanese students and accumulating the culture of the native Japanese, support the work for students after graduation. This is also an opportunity for BVU students to show their affection and hospitality to the foreigners people through the support and cooperation of Kyoai University students during their two weeks of stay and study at BVU in BVU in particular as well as Vung Tau City in general.
After 2 weeks of studying and exchanging at BVU, on March 23, 1818, Ba Ria - Vung Tau University held the closing ceremony and awarded the certificate of completion of the exchange program for Kyoai Gakuen's students and hope that the cooperation between the two universities will be maintained and more developed in the future.
