On the morning of September 17, 2018, Ba Ria-Vung Tau University organized cultural exchange program with the University of Osaka-Japan for the purpose of promoting understanding and create a playground for students, encourage the creation of passion in learning as well as in the work of students in the future. Attending the program, on behalf of University of Osaka has Professor Barrow Jack Earl and lecturer Taniguchi Katsuhiro with 4 students; BVU has the presence of Dr. Vu Van Dong - Vice President, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Van - Deputy Manager of ScienceTechnology and International Cooperation Department, together with Japanese language faculties and students from the School of Language – Culture – Arts.

Osaka International University is a national Japanese university located in Suita, Toyonaka, and Minoh, Osaka. This is the sixth oldest university in Japan. When it was first established, it was called Osaka Medical College. The Osaka International University (OIU) was founded in 1988. The university's main purpose is to train students, to cultivate internationally recognized competence and qualities. Therefore, students here can always work in today's world is internationalization. At present, the university has about 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students and about 500 international students. The program starts with the vibrant art show by the students of School of Language – Culture - Arts presented. Following this, the representative of the Japanese language department of BVU had a present about Vung Tau City and the learning opportunities and exchanges that you have experienced during your stay with BVU. Thereby, they shared their thoughts as well as showing affection attached to Ba Ria - Vung Tau University during the years of study here.

Students from Osaka University also had a good presentation about Japan and Osaka University with many historical, interesting programs and interesting activities. On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Taniguchi Katsuhiro also thanked the BVU for its thoughtful preparation and warm welcome. He also expressed hope for cooperation and tighten the relation between the two university.

At the end of program is the cuisine exchange between students of two university. Japanese students enjoy the traditional dishes of Vietnam such as spring rolls, spring rolls, salted eggplants etc. They both enjoy the food, just chatting to make the atmosphere of the exchange becomes more exciting and fun.
Cultural exchange program today closed, leaving many good impression of international students on BVU as well as the beautiful coastal city of Vung Tau. Hopefully, in the upcoming time, Ba Ria - Vung Tau University will have more opportunities to cooperate and organize more interesting programs for students of both universities.
