From 08 January to 11 January 2019, Ba Ria-Vung Tau University organized the Cultural and Recreational Exchange Program with students of Dongshin University. Continuing the success of the programs in 2016 and 2018, this is the third time the program was organized. The exchange program this year is the result of good and sustainable relationship between Ba Ria - Vung Tau University and Dongshin University for more than 3 years.
The group of 23 voluntary students under the guidance of Professor Kim Su Kun and 2 lecturers continuously surprised many BVU students and lecturers. From the beginning day, Dongshin University voluntary team brought different colors to Ba Ria - Vung Tau University students in general and students of the Korean Language major in particular through interesting cultural exchanges activities. In addition to the hair cut activity as in the previous year program, BVU students also have chances to learn new traditional games, exciting intellectual games, as well as traditional Korean art instruments. Moreover, there are new activities which attract much attention of students such as: dancing and singing K-pop music, Korean makeup and nail, football competitions and tug of war .... All the activites attracted the support and attendence of lectures and studetns of BVU.
This is a good opportunity for the students majoring in Korean Language to accompany and work with DongShin University delegation and practice speaking with native speakers.
In two days of the 8th and 10th of January, 2019, the voluntary group have organized haircut activity and exchange of Cultures and Sports at Campus 1 and Campus 3 of BVU. In addition, on January 9, the team also carried out these activities in Chau Duc Ethnic Minority Secondary School. After participating in Korean traditional and modern games, each student also received a useful gift such as traditional Korean mask, handmade products made of clay, etc. In the afternoon of the 10th January, the students of two universities also participated in a friendly sports game at Campus 3, which is a new activity in this year's program. Although quite tired with cultural exchange activities in the morning, all students are still very excited to participate in sports activities in the afternoon, in accordance with the young and dynamic style of youth.
It can be said that, although it only took place for a short period of four days, the image of Dongshin University volunteer students with the enthusiastic support from students of Korean Language major in particular and Ba Ria-Vung Tau in general has left many good impressions in the hearts of lecturers and students of two universities. We hope that this cooperation will continue to grow and continue in the following years. This program demonstrates the long-term cooperation and development of Ba Ria - Vung Tau University and Dongshin University.
