Ba Ria-Vung Tau Univeristy welcomes the delegation from Izumiotsu city (Japan)

Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Kiem and Heads of Departments and Schools of  Ba Ria- Vung Tau University welcomed the delegation from Izumiotsu city, Osaka Prefecture, Japan led by Mr. Hideto Nakayama - Head of Regional Economics Department, Izumiotsu City General Politics Board on 3rd October,2017. At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Kiem expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of Izumiotsu and introduce to the delegates about the training scale and development orientation of BVU.  He also shared that Ba Ria - Vung Tau University is going to be one of the top university in the South of Vietnam. BVU annually welcomes more than 2,000 students enrolling in 30 majors. In addition, BVU also provides 1,500 graduate employees for Ba Ria - Vung Tau province  and the whole country.

Prof. Hoang Van Kiem said that Vietnam and Japan have stepped up their cooperation and Japan has invested many projects in recent years. This is one of the highlights of the labor market in Vietnam. Through this visit of the delegation of Izumiotsu city, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, the principal also expressed his wish to receive more Japanese experts to BVU for training  and teaching  specific branches such as maritime economy, logictics, etc. The principal hope after this meeting will open more opportunities for long-term cooperation between BVU and Izumiotsu city, Osaka, Japan. Mr. Hideto Nakayama thanked for the thoughtful reception of Ba Ria - Vung Tau University. The Izumiotsu city delegation made a short introduction about Izumiotsu city. This city has many strong points such as logistic, harbour service and textileand garment industry (the city of Izumiotsu is known as the "Silk City"). Mr. Hideto Nakayama said that the transportation of this city is very convenient. Izumiotsu city is a clean and green environment and will build the university in near future. So they are looking forward to receiving the students of BVU to exchange and study.

After the speeches of the two sides leaders, they exchanged, discussed and agreed on the contents of cooperation in training human resources and exchanges of experts and students between the two sides in the near future.
